A health practitioner with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Young graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1980, after majoring in clinical lab technology at Sacramento State University. While at Georgetown Dental School Dr. Young earned the following awards and honors:

    • Graduated Magna cum Laude
    • Morris M. Horrowitz award for scholastic achievement (given to the most outstanding senior dental student).
    • Omicron Kappa Upsilon- induction into this dental honor society
    • Dentsply International Award for distinction in complete denture prosthetics

    Dr. Young continued his specialty training at University Medical Center in Fresno, California in 1984. After prior affiliations, Dr. Young opened his solo practice in Modesto where he has been since 1994.

    A commitment to continuing education has led Dr. Young to participate in dozens of courses covering myriad topics including infection control, bone grafting and implant techniques, anesthesia, and laser use for oral surgery. He has participated in study clubs with emphasis on dental implants. He continues to take numerous courses to remain up to date with the latest technologies and techniques.

    Dr. Young is an active member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the California Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Stanislaus Dental Society. He maintains affiliations with both Doctors Medical Center and Memorial Hospital Association. Dr Young is an active Northern California evaluator for “General Anesthesia” office inspections. He and his lovely wife, Benita, were raised in the central valley and have resided in Modesto since 1994.
